COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Response to COVID-19

Though this is long I encourage you to read through the following as there are requirements of you listed below. This pertains to your health, my own health and the health of every person that enters the studio space.

COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

I take the health and well-being of my clients, myself and the community at Articulate Bodies Pilates Studio very seriously. I have created new procedures and policies based on Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH), Ministry of Health (MOH), Public Heath Ontario (PHO and The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), to ensure the safety of all interactions at the studio.

There are several new operational, hygiene and cleaning specific practices for the purpose of infection control and prevention and I have shared them with you below.

Any person with symptoms or other cause for concern according to the screening tool will be asked not to attend their appointment.

INFECTION CONTROL AND OPERATIONAL PRACTICES

CLEANING OF HIGH-TOUCH AREAS AND SURFACES

Commonly touched areas will be cleaned after each client including: light switches, door handles, coat hooks and hangers, sitting areas,
storage area for clients belongings, faucet and sink. Touch screens/mobile devices and laptops will be
cleaned immediately prior to and after each session.

CLEANING OF TREATMENT AREAS, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Client and Therapist contact items will be cleaned after each client including: treatment table and head rest, stool, vinyl pillow cases, treatment wax containers, tissue box covers, exercise equipment and therapeutic tools.
All sheets and towels will be collected after each client use and laundered properly.

HYGIENE AND PPE PRACTICES (THERAPIST)

I have been educated and trained on proper hand hygiene and PPE use for the purpose of infection control and prevention.
I will be utilizing proper hand hygiene when entering and exiting the clinic, entering and exiting treatment rooms, after contacting certain surfaces and before and after any interactions with my clients.

HYGIENE AND PPE PRACTICES (CLIENTS)

All clients and visitors will be asked to sanitize their hands prior to entering the studio as well as following the session.
Hand sanitizer will be readily available outside as well as inside the treatment room.

OPERATIONAL PRACTICES

My schedule: I will block of extra time after each session. This will allow physical distancing between clients in the studio and provides
adequate time for me to clean and disinfect the equipment, treatment room and common areas.

Clients are requested to arrive close to your treatment time as the waiting room will not be available. I ask that you come alone.

I will use contactless payment options and will not be accepting cash at this time.

PROCEDURES FOR CLIENTS

PRIOR TO BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT

Even with these policies and procedures in place there is still risk of possible transmission of COVID-19. These risks can be present on your way to or from your session and within the studio and session itself. Please become familiar with the risks of COVID-19 and how to protect yourself. https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-stop-spread#section-0

If you are not at risk, proceed with booking your appointment.

UPON THE DAY OF YOUR SESSION AND ARRIVAL AT THE STUDIO

Please remember your change of clothes as needed for your treatment (shorts, tank top, etc.). I will not be keeping any extras on site.

Please be advised that at this time I am unable to allow studio access to any individuals who exhibit
symptoms or have any other cause for concern.

Arrive very close to your scheduled appointment time and wait outside the studio. There is plenty of space to sit around the fountain. I will open the door when you are able to enter.

Please sanitize your hands prior to entering the studio. Hand sanitizer and hand rubbing instructions will be readily available.

DURING THE SESSION

The therapist might wear a mask throughout the entire session.

FOLLOWING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please sanitize your hands prior to exiting the treatment room.

Maintain social distancing

Depending on how busy the studio is we will either re-book and settle up in the treatment room or outside of the studio.
